LEADING motoring association MotorEasy is marking World EV Day (Sept 9) by offering drivers of electric vehicles a bonus six months’ warranty.
The global event aims to highlight the role of EVs in the move towards net-zero emissions and is backed by governments and manufacturers. Duncan McClure Fisher, founder and CEO of MotorEasy, said: “We’re seeing a huge rise in the number of EV-owning customers looking to protect their vehicles, especially batteries and other expensive parts. “We were the first in the UK to offer a direct EV extended warranty to include drive battery protection, which gives the ultimate peace of mind against expensive repairs.Drive batteries do the majority of the ‘heavy-lifting’ to power electric cars and if they fail outside the manufacturer’s warranty they can cost more than £5,000 to replace.
