Close Brothers selected Intelligent Motoring as their exclusive GAP insurance partner, replacing an incumbent supplier.
IM were selected on the basis of the flexibility of their commercial framework, together with its Contact Centre track record and customer care standards.
While there was an immediate need to deliver a GAP insurance offering, Close Brothers also saw a longer term opportunity to generate further revenues and customer engagement through the MotorEasy Digital Garage.

The opportunity
Close Brothers provide car buying finance solutions to over xxk dealers, every year helping to fund some xxk vehicle sales.
Following a review of their aftersales products, they invited IM to compete in a tender process for their GAP insurance business.
Following visits to IM Contact Centre and a mystery shopping process, IM were selected on the strength of its GAP offering which had enjoyed both rapid growth , generating both increased revenues and the assurance that a portion of risk on their lending book, has the added coverage of GAP insurance.
Importantly, they were keen not to erode their dealer network’s ability to generate revenue through their own aftersales products, including GAP Insurance. As part of the Terms of the appointment
